Business Developer

Mecanoo is looking for a Business Developer who will strengthen our Business Development team.

You see opportunities in the market and convince Mecanoo's management and partners to follow up on interesting potential projects. You take control and, together with colleagues, ensure a successful submission. In second rounds you will be able to translate ideas and sketches from architects into clear and convincing texts and you will play an important role in project coordination with team members within and outside Mecanoo. Within the Business Development team you help shape Mecanoo's strategy.

The ideal candidate:

has completed a higher vocational or university education in architecture, urban planning, business administration or relevant study;
has relevant work experience in a business development role in the architecture or construction sector and (preferably) has demonstrable experience with first and second round tender and competition submissions;
has an excellent command of Dutch (preferably as a native language) and English (oral and written);
has a good sense of language and enjoys writing and doing research;
is enterprising and proactive;
has a good sense of graphic design and has basic knowledge of MS Office and the Adobe package (Indesign);
is a team player with excellent communication skills.
